Art Hotel
At the start of 2020, Tracy and real estate developer husband, Jerry, opened the Art Hotel, a lovingly restored, mid-century modern boutique hotel in the heart of Palm Springs, California.
The super colorful 8-room hotel features an art mural by famed New York City street artist, Damon Johnson, son of the New York Post's Page Six editor, Richard Johnson. Every exterior and interior detail, including the wallpaper, furnishings, bed linens, pillows and decor were handpicked or designed by Tracy.
Her signature modern retro style with pops of bold color are found within every hotel room, with brightly painted doors in every color, vintage record players, iconic photos of music legends, and original artwork from local Palm Springs artists. As guests enter the hotel, they are transported to different eras through the hotel's polychromatic and playful communal spaces.
Originally built in 1960, the Art Hotel rooms are fully our conditioned air conditioned and surround the central swimming pool. Each room, or “live and work art studio” as they are know, has a kitchenette, shower and bathroom with either a queen or king bed, plus TV, internet access, a guitar and a record player with vintage vinyl for musical inspiration.
This much in demand boutique hotel is walking distance to the famed Palm Springs Design District and its popular restaurants and shops.
